We spent a day recently in Borrowdale learning to climb with Iain. Having only climbed indoors prior to this Iain gave us an excellent introduction, taking time to talk us through the basics and giving us some great routes to tackle! In preparation for an alpine trip, I enjoyed two excellent days scrambling with Iain. With his in depth knowledge of the Lake District and experience of alpine mountaineering he was able to put together a programme tailored to my experience and interests. I felt Iain was particularly safety conscious – when we were climbing together he was very clear what he was doing (and why) and what I needed to do. I would be very happy to climb with Iain in the future.
