location-wren-gill-ghyll-scrambling-gorge-walking.jpgWren Gill in Longsleddale is the closest Ghyll Scrambling/Gorge Walking venue to Kendal in South Lakes and the closest one to the M6. Why not call in and break your journey north or south by joining us for a refreshing & exhilarating Ghyll Scrambling Session in The Lake District!

location-wren-gill-ghyll-scrambling-gorge-walking-pool-jump.jpgThe Wren Gill Ghyll Scrambling & Canyoning venue has over 2 kilometres of stream bed to scramble up, waterfalls to climb and more than two places where it is possible to jump into deep pools (photo two). The venue is a great place for family groups as well as adults and children just love the variety of challenges to be found here.

Meeting point for this activity. Meet us at the top end of the layby left hand side on the A6 on the north side of Kendal just next to the NHS Enterprise Centre. The layby is on your left as you leave town and if you pass through the 40mph signs then you've just driven past the meet point! The postcode for Satnav purposes is LA9 6NY.  We will arrive here in a green Series II Land Rover to meet you. You will then follow us in your vehicle on the eight mile drive up Longsleddale to Sadgill where you will park up. Here, we either get kitted up and then finish the journey in the Land Rover to arrive at the venue if the weather is wet; or if the weather is fine and dry, then we ask that you walk the last mile on foot to get to where we are waiting with the equipment for you.

Please note - we can only transport an absolute maximum of five adults in our Land Rover from the parking to the venue! Groups larger than this have to walk the last mile to the venue on foot, but we will transport all of your personal equipment in and back out for you; the walk is very pleasant in scenic surroundings and takes just 25 minutes on average!
